Beautiful games of sight and sound

Hello, Dreamers!

This week I decided to recommend everything by a single studio because I couldn't pick a single one, and I'll talk about three of their games.

Allow me to introduce

Cipher Prime

Cipher Prime Studios, homebase in Philadelphia, is a game development studio that has some GORGEOUS pieces out there. I'll talk about a few here.

Starting with Auditorium, a beautiful and relaxing puzzle-solving game:

A game where you use different tools to alter the flow of a beam of light so that it fills different boxes.

Sounds nothing too extraordinary, but it all gets even bettter when more tools come in.

Upon completing the level, all that is left is the beam of light with all the colour changes.
But the biggest draw to it is the music. Each box, when filled, plays a different instrument, and when all boxes are filled you are rewarded with a gorgeous musical piece.

You can even play a demo of it here in the developer's site, and get the full version of the game for iOS, PC and Mac.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, we've got Intake:

Shoot pills! Get combos! Don't let the pills reach the bottom!

With a most exciting techno, bass-dropping soundtrack, fast gameplay and stunning visuals, this is (almost) the complete opposite of Auditorium.

Pills drop in two colours, and you have to shoot them down. By pressing the space bar you change the colour of your crosshairs to match either of the colours. By shooting the pills of the same colour as the one you currently have, you get points, until you clear enough and move on to the next level.

There's a Shoot-em-up mode you can buy with the points you earn through the game, if you're interested.

Of note is that the game is accessible for people with colour blindness (deuteranopia, protanopia and tritanopia), so this game is enjoyable by anyone and everyone that might want to try it.

Finally, allow me to show you another beautiful (and a bit less frantic) game:

Fractal.

The main idea is simple: You push around hexagons so tiles of the same colour form a bigger hexagon. Or an elongated hexagon, so they clear, push other tiles, and hopefully cause a chain reaction that nets you huge points.

Fractal has different game modes, either a campaign to clear a certain number of tiles within a limited number of pushes, arcade, to clear as many tiles as you can in a limited amount of time or puzzle, to clear all the tiles with just a few moves.

It is easier to play than I can describe it, but mastering it is an art all of its own. Not to mention that the better you are doing, the more pumped the music gets.

Cipher Prime has many more gorgeous games, so I hope you can give them a try and see if they tickle your fancy.

For another studio that does amazing games of varied themes and approaches, take a good look at

I hope you find these games to your liking, and that you have a wonderful week!

Cheers, and keep on dreaming!
